Assalamualaikum, hi fellas.
It seemed a long time i did not update my blog "berhabuk wohh" and again me updating my recent trip about New Zealand. Eventhough its been a year, i think i need to share this information. This trip we are focusing more on road trip. New Zealand it a beautiful country and you will never get bored when you hit the road. You can see a beautiful landscape around you and you gonna fall in love with it :)
In this entry i will tell you all details about my road trip and the place that we go. The trip it takes about 2700km, it is a long trip because we cover both North Island and South Island. Thanks to farah Naquiah she help me a lot on this trip. In this entry i will tell you all the details on our trip. The journey from north to south.
For a start let me tell you the mistake that i made in this trip, i took a return flight ticket by using air Asia KL - Auckland(north island) - KL. If you plan to cover both island you should take a flight to Auckland and depart from Christchurch(south island). We waste time and money even though it just a 1 day, for a traveler 1 day really precious.
So let the story begin. Tadaaa~~~~
NORTH ISLAND

like usual i can't describe a feeling how happy i am when i on this peacefully country. Just ignore the lemak all over me hehe. For me personally north island lil bit pricy because a lot of interesting place has a entrance fee. So after we arrived at the airport we drove to Waitomo it take around, 200km if i'm not mistaken.

Waitomo it's known for its extensive underground cave system. Limestone in this area was formed around 10 million years ago "maybe". That what i only remember what the tour guide says to me
hehehe XD i'm to busy enjoying the view.

Glow Worm Cave, Waitomo (entrance fee)
Best things about Waitomo that you can't miss is Glow Worm Cave it may cost you RM200++ but i promise you it worth the money. Actually i tried to find a free trip to see glow worm unfortunately it hard to find one because apparently Waitomo Glow worm caves is considered a "sacrificial site".
A study show glow worm caves area could not stand with many people in there. Maybe humidity will effect the area surrounding, so they need to preserve that area carefully. i recommend you book through

ROTORUA
Rotorua is famous with their hot spring and waterfall. We stay there for one day, the city quite calm and very friendly. If you in North island, Rotorua is the place you can't miss. So here is the place i went to:

I forgot the actual fees but it not expensive as you think, for me personally it worth a view.

After Hamurana Spring, the crazy adventure begin. We drove the car from Rotorua - Taupo - Wellington - Picton - Franz Josef - Lake Wanaka. It take 2 days straight of driving. It was crazy, tired, stupid and you name it. I don't recommend to you all to take the same route as we did. Please plan your trip well. For Malaysian please take 3 week leave because 2 week is not enough for you to cover North Island and South Island.

TAUPO
Not much we can cover because we are rushing to Wellington because our ferry at 7.00 P.M but yeah we try our best to see the hot spot on Taupo
Huka Falls (free)
There are several spot you can see the Huka falls for free. You can searched it on google.
Taupo Lake (free)
After the Huka Fall we head to Taupo lake it maybe take 15 minute from Huka falls. The weather it not too good because it rainy. So we just take a picture of us for memory.

We took a several picture and then we head to wellington, best things about road trip in New Zealand, you will never get bored because the scenery really beautiful. You can see the landscape it look like it swollen up. That is the unique of New Zealand i think.

SOUTH ISLAND
From Wellington it take 3 to 4 hours to picton by ferry. Nothing much to do in ferry but you can go out to the ship deck. After we reach Picton we drove to Franz Josef at night. It take 500km to reach Franz Josef. This is the craziest things i have done in my life. It quite dangerous if you drive at night in New Zealand. There not much car at night if something happen to you its hard for you to get help and you need to be careful if there an animal crossing. So please be extra careful if you take a night road trip.

Best things about South Island is most of interesting place in South Island is free. I personally love South Island than North Island. Someday if i'm gonna repeat New Zealand trip, definitely i'll cover South Island only.
FRANZ JOSEF
The weather is not on our side, a bit rainy. But it not gonna stop us we keep going. So this is the place we went in Franz Josef
Tatare Tunnel Walk (free)
This place it a lil bit adventurous because you need to walk in a wood trail and then you will walk through dark cave and full of water. It quite dangerous because we don't know what is in the cave it might be snake or spider, but we still kept going into the cave.

Franz Josef Glacier (free)
The rainy weather make the glacier scenery bad, but i tried to take a good picture but still look bad T.T Make sure you plan well your trip.
Then we head to Wanaka Lake, that the place we will rest after an adventurous trip for 2 days. It take about 300km =.="
Another reason why road trip in New Zealand is fun because along your trip you will find best place to stop. Every stop promised you a beautiful scenery and landscape and again for photographer please bring you tripod, learn from me :(

WANAKA
Wanaka is a good place to stop if you want to go Milford Sound. In our trip we are not having enough time so we skip the Milford Sound I know it a big loss for us, but maybe someday if i go to South Island definitely i'll go to Milford Sound.

When i reached here i'm kind a sad, the weather is not good and lil bit rainy, so the river got lil bit muddy.

Lake Hawae (Free)
From Blue Pool to Lake Wanaka we stop at Lake Hawea, funny things about Lake Hawea i always miss pronounced as Lake Hawau HAHA if you Malaysian you know Hawau means.

MOUNT COOK
After Lake Wanaka we continue our journey to Mt. Cook, here is my mistake i want to highlight. Actually we should stay Mt. Cook for 2 days not 1 day. Mt Cook is freaking AWESOME. I will bear my mistake to death.

Tekapo is a small town and near from Mt Cook. Tekapo is famous with star gazing and Lupine flower with view of Mt Cook.

After Tekapo Lake we head to Christchurch we all are so tired so we just relax at the homestay. Nothing much to do in Christchurch and if i'm not mistaken Abu got caught with fever so we just stay at home.
After Chirstchurch we head back to Auckland, we take a walk in Auckland City buy some souvenir and find some place to eat. We stay in Auckland for 1 night and then we head back to Malaysia tanah tumpah darahku. Thank you for the reader that never exist and thank you for spending you precious time to read my blog.
